Personal data that we process
Abel Adventures processes the personal data that you provide to us as you use our services. Below you can find an overview of the personal data that we process:
- Location information when the user is in the area of the nature parc of Amsterdam.
- Information about the group the person in walking with. How big is the group, are there kids joining the walk, are the member of the nature parc. The user is free to fill in this information.
For what purpose do we process personal data
The only purpose of the app is to track how visitors are hiking through the nature parc of AWD. The app only tracks within the geofence of this nature parc. When the user is outside the area of the nature parc, the tracking will automatically stop. The tracking is used for research purposes to see what areas the visitors of the nature parc are visiting. Every visitor of the parc is asked on a voluntary base to activate the app during their visit to the parc. The data is used to create heatmaps of the visits to the parc.
We only store the GPX track of the hike, combined with the information added by the user like:
- With how many people do you hike today,
- Are there kids participating in the hike
- How often do you visit the parc.
- Are you a member of the parc.
Our guarantees for privacy:
- We do not store any other information then mentioned above
- No track can be led to a person or a device.
- The app only works within the area of the nature parc, the app will automatically stop with the tracking when the user is leaving the nature parc. The only way the apps start working is when the user is manually starting the app when he/she is in the area of the nature parc.
For what purpose we process personal data
Abel Adventures processed your personal data for the following purposes:
- In order to give insight in what ereas of the parc are visit hardly and which areas are visit frequently.
How long we store personal data
Abel Adventures stores your personal data no longer than is strictly necessary to the goals for which your information is collected.
Sharing of personal information with third parties
Abel Adventures provides the data exclusively to AWD who is responsible for the nature parc. The data is only hand over to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you, for the maintenance and management of the software, for the processing of the data to make heatmaps or to comply with a legal obligation. If the above mentioned third parties have access to the data, they will be just as gently with the data as we do.
Cookies, or similar techniques, we use
We do not use cookies or similar techniques.
See, modify, or delete data
We do not store any information on a track to relate the track to a specific user or device. So, on request, it is not possible to deleted a specific track.
How we protect personal information
Abel Adventures takes the protection of the data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data are not properly secured or there is evidence of abuse, please contact our customer service or via f.vanschoonhoven@AbelLeisure.nl
Delete your account
You can easily delete your account in the app:
- Open the app and go to settings.
- Press Delete account.
